A Los Angeles Summer

So I lived in California for the summer with a quasi study abroad program for my school- Elon University. The summer in general was incredible. From seeing TV shows being filmed live to sitting on the beach at Pt. Dume with the sun on our shoulders, I have truly been living the past two months. I can’t think of a week that went by that we didn’t go to a movie or to see a concert or go hiking.

Sometimes feeling alive comes from flirting with death. This summer I have flirted with that line a few times. I nearly got swallowed by a mountain at 4am, I got swept out to sea by the strong rip tide at Venice Beach, and today survived a 5.8 scale earthquake. Sometimes it takes these experiences to really get your blood flowing and make you feel more alive than if everything goes to plan. Just a thought.

Pictures soon to follow from the summer out here in the City of Angels.
