WSJ & The Times

This week was a big week for me. For the first time ever, one of my photographs was published in both the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. It was a photo I took during the final dress rehearsal of “La Cenerentola” (opera’s version of Cinderella).

I’m just really honored and grateful to have these opportunities and successes thus far. When I started this blog a year ago, I didn’t own a camera. In eight or so short months I’ve managed to learn enough about photography to have my photo published in a major newspaper. It’s kinda scary, but mostly thrilling.

For those of you who have watched me develop and continue to develop and expressed encouragement, thank you. I still have so very much to learn and experience. But at times like this, I know I’m at least heading in the right direction.

Here’s the photo that was printed (Cinderella and her two step sisters):

  1. Bravo, Peyton!!

  2. Once again congrats on this. I just got around to checking it out and the photo is quite stunning (as usual with you). I also PDF’d a copy of the WSJ online article to keep forever and ever, haha. Sorry I missed you a few weeks ago, PLEASE hit me up when you are back in Charlotte-ville.
